Gr35 Carolles Plage
Bunker site covering the long beach south of Granville port

Gr35 Carolles Plage site overview

What to see
The most southerly of the Granville sites, Gr35 covered the southern section of the extensive sandy beach at Carolles Plage north towards Jullouville.
Here you can find two R612 casemates for 7.5cm anti-tank gun perched high on the cliffs overlooking the beach area.
Supporting them, you can still find a large ammunition bunker and special construction R622 personnel shelter – although these are located on private land so not accessible without permission.
Next to the Rue de la Croix Paqueray towards Carolles is a memorial cross and below it is the remains of a small water storage building, but this is now overgrown and difficult to spot.
