A small defensive site on the coast north of Quineville near the village of Aumeville-Lestre, this is worth a visit for one of the best preserved pillboxes you'll find in Normandy.

Covering the large beach area in front of several large gun batteries on the hills inland, this small structure was built with three openings for machine guns and observation. We're sure more structures were planned for the site but nothing else remains here today. You can access the inside of the pillbox but it is quite a cramped place to spend any length of time.
