Fe022 Fecamp

Hillside bunkers covering rear entrance to the port and town

Fe022 Fecamp site overview

What to see

Inland of the port on high ground overlooking one of the main routes into the town, you can find the remains of bunker site Fe022.
The site is difficult to access as it’s located on heavy overgrown wasteland near to industrial units, but you can see one of the three remaining concrete constructions here.
The three buildings here were a R669 ultra small bunker for six men, a R680 casemate for a 7.5cm Pak 40 gun, and a R630 machine gun casemate with a front armoured plate for added protection. It’s the latter you can see the most of here, although it is not fully accessible.
This building has additional concrete with two non-standard design shafts on its northern face. One features the remains of a ladder suggesting it was an alternative escape shaft and the other a large chimney, likely from a heater inside the bunker.
