Wn131 Pointe de Freval
Small headland site with lots of firepower

Wn131 site overview

What to see
One of dozens of small positions which line the north Cotentin coastline in Normandy, Wn131 occupies one of the many small outcrops of headland along this coast.
Now overtaken by a small hamlet of houses, Wn131 Pointe de Freval was once a busy resistance position with around 10 concrete constructions.
Three of these were simple shelter buildings but the remaining were all defensive with six Tobruks and an open emplacement for a 5cm KwK anti-tank gun.
Of the Tobruks, one in the head of the site was constructed to mount a captured French tank turret on top, giving this small site a lot of firepower.
