A small site but one which gives you an insight into the construction of a personnel shelter known as a Wellblech.
While the shelter itself is missing its corrugated roof, you can see the foundations and chimney construction, while nearby you can get up close to several defensive Tobruks and a 1694 Ringstand - a position which housed a 5cm KwK anti-tank/landing craft gun. Behind these are two blocks of concrete which, with a Belgian gate would have formed a roadblock to halt advancing vehicles.
This site is located at the end of the D316 road off the main D116 coast road on a small point surrounded by marshland to the west of several larger batteries.
