Wn120 Le Moulard
Small resistance nest with interesting MG posts
Wn120 site overview
What to see
The beach area around Wn120 Le Moulard on the east coast of the Cotentin peninsula is one of the hidden gems of Normandy and receives very few visitors to its gently sloping sands.
Here you can find the remains of a small Widerstandsnest built on a small headland halfway between larger gun sites at Barfleur in the North and Saint-Vaast-la-Hogue in the south.
What you can find here is still interesting though, including two mushroom-like MG stands which offered almost 360 degrees of covering fire at the front and rear of the complex, a Tobruk, an open emplacement for a 5cm KwK anti-tank gun, three small shelters, and two ammunitions stores. The shelters and stores aren’t accessible as they stand within gardens of the homes on the beachfront.
