Wn206 and Wn207 Cherbourg
Two small buildings on the north Cotentin coast

Wn206 and Wn207 Cherbourg overview

What to see
Located just a few kilometres east of the breakwater and major port of Cherbourg you’ll find the port at Le Becquet where there are two small resistance points – Wn207 and Wn206.
The remaining buildings at both these sites are difficult spot today, with just one remaining building at each location.
Next to the entrance to the Port du Becquet, behind a garden wall, you can see the outer walls of a R622 double group shelter for personnel from Wn207.
At Wn206 – again in a private garden – there’s an open emplacement where a searchlight was positioned.
These sites are just two of dozens of small positions which line the north Cotentin coastline here in Normandy.
