What to see

Stp224 stands as part of an old French fort on the site and was added to by occupying German forces with a series of gun casemates, MG bunkers, and searchlight positions.
The site is an active watersports centre now and it can be difficult to get a clear view of the buildings due to boats being stored within the heart of the old fort area.
However, you can see a H612 casemate which is positioned to be able to fire inland of the forth to the east of the site and an open emplacement and searchlight position on the northeast corner of the walled location.
