Personnel shelter remains inland of Juno Beach landing area

Wn30 Courseulles-sur-Mer site overview

What to see
Inland of the port town of Courseulles-sur-Mer, near to what would become known as Juno Beach on D-Day, you can find the remains of Widerstandsnest 30 (Wn30).
Originally a complex of personnel shelters for the troops manning the beachfront defences either side of the port entrance, just two of the building remain today.
One is off limits to the public as it stands in a private garden and is almost completely covered by vegetation. The second – of what is believed to have been around six of seven bunkers – stands buried under a car park.
The only evidence is the rectangular roof which can be seem as long as there aren’t any cars parked on top!
