Wn38 is a small, beach front gun emplacement position at St-Come-de-Fresne la Guerre and you can still see two of the original bunkers here - a 1694 type Ringstand for a 5cm KwK anti-tank gun and a Tobruk for a 5cm mortar. The Ringstand has the addition of a cover - as seen in several sites along the Gold and Juno beach areas - which gave it extra protection from attack from above.
There is also a machine gun bunker with two embrasures to cover access to the location from the rear. This stands overgrown in a private garden so is not accessible.
