Wn114 Bochum
Small clifftop position between two larger bunker sites

Wn114 Bochum site overview

What to see
A small resistance nest perched on the edge of the cliff between the towns of Wissant and Escalles, Stp Bochum stands in the shadow of larger sites along the coast.
It features a single open emplacement for a 5cm KwK anti-tank gun – a weapon derived from early German panzers and one which became obsolete in its original role as Allied armour was upgraded.
Situated on the edge of the cliff, given the rate the soft chalk cliffs here are eroding away, this site has a limited lifespan. It was once joined by a small shelter further inland but this is now buried within agricultural land and can't be accessed.
Wn114 Bochum stands in the shadow of Wn113 Dortmund which you can see on the hillside nearby.
