Trou04 Honfleur
Small site on the mouth of River Seine at Honfleur

Trou04 site overview

What to see
Situated on the western outskirts of the port town of Honfleur, this small bunker site was one of many strongpoints which covered the beach area around the mouth of the River Seine estuary.
Today, there are only a few reminders of the site which once included a R501 shelter, two Vf66 personnel and ammunition bunkers, and a Ringstand for a 5cm KwK anti-tank gun.
Behind the recycling bins near to the lighthouse you can find the remaining Ringstand – although this has been filled in – and behind it stands a Vf66 building.
A second Vf66 can be found near to the sailing club building, 300m to the west.
