Set on the outskirts of the village of Leffrinckoucke and 4km from the beach and port of Dunkirk, Stp Delphin features four R669 gun casemates.
All four face to the north east and would have been able to cover beach landings and movements inland from the long, wide beach area east of Dunkirk.
Supporting the four casemates at the site is a small observation post, a command/personnel building, Vf2a group shelter, and a Vf65a emplacement for a 5cm KwK anti-tank gun.
All four casemates are in ruins and the site is located on private farmland so can’t be accessed without prior permission.
